Meet Our Staff

Penina Mulwa is our Executive Director and lead midwife/nurse. She oversees all day to day operations of the facility, as well as co-ordinates our CPD training platform. She has a Diploma in community health nursing from St. Luke’s school of nursing North Kinangop, a Bachelor of science in advanced nursing (BScN) from the Aga Khan university Nairobi, and is currently pursuing Master’s degree in nursing Midwifery specialty at Mount Kenya University. Penina looks forward to continuing the development of our courses, especially in areas such as birthing and nursing.

Kevin Ochieng is our head administrator. Kevin has an educational background in IT services and training, and he has been developing his skills for administration, management, and marketing for the past five years. He chooses to work with ReaMedica because of its unparalleled dedication for customer treatment. Kevin hopes to continue learning about the medical industry and how to best serve the healthcare needs of his home community.

Catalina Bustos is our main nurse practitioner. She has been interested in healthcare since childhood, and studied nursing and obstetric medicine. Catalina joined ReaMedica through our partnership with the Maisha Foundation in March of 2023, but has been working in Kenya supporting maternal and reproductive care for the past five years. She involved herself with ReaMedica due to her understanding of the importance of imaging services for expecting mothers and all other patients alike. Her main work is with the Maisha Foundation, which provides support and education for teen mothers, and throughout the Kiberan community.

Kevin Simiyu is our resident sonographer. He studied radiology and medical administration in university, and has come to work with ReaMedica because of the opportunity it offers to provide imaging services and affordable healthcare directly to the community. He is also involved with our training programs, teaching sonography and maternal and neonatal care skills to young nurses in the area. He is excited for ReaMedica to gain clients and for us to increase our capacity for care.
