The Africa Consortium for Value Based Care
ReaMedica has launched the Africa Consortium for Value Based Care. We are pleased to have signed an MoU with the International Consortium for Health Outcome Metrics (ICHOM) to further these efforts. Over the next moths we shall be announcing several African organisations joining the Consortium.
"Value-Based Healthcare " (VBC) is a healthcare delivery model in which providers, including hospitals and physicians, are paid based on patient health outcomes.
VBC differs from a fee-for-service or capitated approach, in which providers are paid based on the amount of healthcare services they deliver. The “value” in value-based healthcare is derived from measuring health outcomes against the cost of delivering the outcomes."
At ReaMedica it is embedded in our purpose to design, implement, demonstrate and partner with leading organizations to broaden VBC adoption across Africa.
